I would like to clean OS X Lion again. I already have a boot image on my USB drive. I just can not start because of the installation fails and something is still running I guess. Is that disk2 the reason why I can not main partition my HD? How can I disassemble or erase that disk2 Mac OS X Base System?

I’ve tried disassembling or deleting that disk2, but it will not let me. So I tried to use the Terminal to force disassemble the disk, but it still would not let me. So I tried to use the Disk Utility to erase the boot disk and make a new partition. But, when it comes to the partition, the Disk Utility said that you can not unmount the disk. In the Disk Utility, I came across another disk called disk2 and Mac OS X the Base System. As far as I know, I do not see that disk2 on my disk list before. I do not have any Time Machine backups.Įverything came out of file, but in the middle of the installation, it got stuck, and later the error in the installation, for no reason. So, I tried to reboot again, but was told that the reinstallation failed and asked me to reinstall again. I tried to reinstall, but found nothing. My Mac with Lion was being slow, so I decided to reinstall OS X.
